The island's third highest mountain, Profit Ilias (799m), is covered by an enormous forest, where a succession of thick and black pine trees, is completed with wild cedars, chestnut trees, oak trees and gigantic plane trees embraced by ivy, all standing on a colorful carpet of ferns, berries and the unique 'Rododendron', along streams and torrents.
