NORTHERN LESVOS

Your accommodation is in Molyvos, on the northern coast of Lesvos, a fortified medieval village, with narrow cobbled streets and stone-built houses, coronated by a Byzantine castle.
Day 1
Transport to your settlement, after landing. Traditional, welcome dinner.
Day 2

On our first day, we'll take the chance to explore the surroundings of Molyvos. The stone built mulepath will lead us along the stream of Lygonas, surging from the highest mountain of the island, Lepetimnos. The controversy between the fertile valley with the 17 old water mills and the rugged, yet green, hills is exceptional.
Delicious local recipes, at a tavern overlooking Molyvos.
Day 3 Today, our scuba diving team, will take us to rabbit island, the largest of a group of green islets facing Petra, a sea-swept village near Molyvos. Here, you can do what ever pleases you, either dive, take under water pictures, swim or sunbath, after all it's a day of relaxation and fun. Fish dishes and ouzo sipping at a tavern by the sea.
Day 4
Today we'll go for cycling to one the most beautiful areas of the island. We'll start from picturesque Anemotia and follow the way to Parakoila, making small stops on the way to enjoy the majestic nature. The island's third highest mountain, Profit Ilias (799m), is covered by an enormous forest, where a succession of thick and black pine trees, is completed with wild cedars, chestnut trees, oak trees and gigantic plane trees embraced by ivy, all standing on a colorful carpet of ferns, berries and the unique 'Rododendron', along streams and torrents. Traditional pick-nick, in Agia Dosia and on to Parakoila, famous for it's orange groves. (17km)
Day 5
Our cultural path, today, brings us to one of the most interesting villages-in terms of arts and craft, as well as spiritual and botanic prosperity. Whatever grows on Lesvos, from vast olive groves, pine and chestnut forests, oaks, plane trees, walnut trees, cherry trees, sour apple trees, quince trees, to wild flowers and herbs, some endemic, you will find it here, on the slops of Mt. Olympos, nourished by the spring waters all year round. Following the stone built path we'll find ourselves in a heavenly place, where the only sounds we can hear are those of birds and streams. Next stop is at the picturesque village Asomatos, also well known for traditional crafts. Our route ends with a visit to an old water mill, still moving in the same traditional way. (10 km)
Day 6
We're closing the week, with a daily cruise to Tsonia, a tranquil cobbled beach, and ideal for water sports. As the boat floats on the cobalt sea, between Lesvos and Asia Minor, followed by dolphins and sea gulls, the beauty of nature drifts us. Rugged coastlines, quiet coves, picturesque harbors and little villages nestled on high mountains, are parts of the scenery. At night lots of Greek dancing.
Day 7
Flight times permitting, we stop at Mytilini (capital city of the island), for sightseeing on the way to the airport.
